Hi Sam,

Quick heads-up: the deck is going to be late. The numbers aren't in yet, so Friday is the realistic target.

Could we move the board call to Monday?

Hi Dana,

The proposal looks good, and we can kick off next week.

One flag: the timeline is tight. Could we get on a call on Tuesday to walk through it?

09 ·FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything you need to know about the product and billing. Can't find the answer you're looking for? Please contact us.

What does WhisperWizard do?

WhisperWizard is a Mac app. You speak into any app, it turns your voice into text, and then it runs your own prompt over that text, so what lands at your cursor is ready to send instead of a raw transcript. Each prompt you write is a template with its own hotkey. It runs on your own OpenAI API key, so you need one for WhisperWizard to work.

How is WhisperWizard different from the Mac's built-in dictation?

Apple's built-in dictation types your raw words at the cursor and keeps nothing. WhisperWizard runs what you said through a custom OpenAI prompt template bound to a shortcut, so polished text lands at the cursor, and it keeps every recording for replay. Audio goes straight to your own OpenAI account. See the side-by-side comparison.

What do I need to start using WhisperWizard?

You will need the following to use WhisperWizard: an OpenAI API key, a WhisperWizard license key, and a Mac with macOS 10.13 or newer (Intel) or macOS 11 or newer (Apple Silicon).

Are there ongoing costs after I buy a license?

WhisperWizard itself has no subscription: your license is a one-time purchase. Because the app runs on your own OpenAI API key, OpenAI bills your API usage directly to your OpenAI account at their pay-as-you-go rates. You can review or cap that usage in your OpenAI billing settings.

Is my data safe?

WhisperWizard has no server of its own, so we don't store your recordings, transcripts or templates. They stay on your Mac (see History) until you delete them. Your requests go directly to OpenAI with your own API key, so OpenAI's privacy rules apply to them.

What is the refund policy?

If you're not happy with your purchase, you can get your money back. Just send us an email at [email protected] within 14 days after your purchase to ask for a refund.

Your next email, said out loud.

Press the spell's hotkey, say it the way you would tell a colleague, and it pastes at your cursor ready to send.

Pay once, with a 14-day refund by email. After that, your only running cost is your own OpenAI usage.
